A visit to Ubud Rice Terraces
These terraces in Bali create the most beautiful landscape to visit. If you’re looking for a great place to take some travel photos, here is your chance!
This is a MUST do activity. With a few to choose from, I visited Uma Ceking. Situated in the jungle, this beautiful rice terrace is a working plantation, and you can enjoy some of their rice in their restaurant which looks out on the amazing view. The food here was some of the best I had in Bali so I’d definitely recommend staying for lunch!
For £7 you can get the iconic ‘bali swing’ pictures! This is definitely worth doing (if you’re not afraid of heights) as they push you REALLY high in the air! It’s actually great fun, and you’re swinging for a while. Give your phone to the assistant down by the swing because I guarantee he’ll take the BEST photos, it’s like they’re professionally trained.
There are other photos spots here, such as the love heart seat and the birds nest chairs, however they will try and charge you more money for each of these individually! After spending money to get there and ride the swing, unless you’re really desperate I’d say this isn’t worth it.
The walk around the rice terrace doesn’t take long, but it’s super pretty for pictures and it’s really cool to see the rice crops up close. I wore trainers, but if it hasn’t been raining you can easily get away with flip floors or Birkenstocks.
